Tracking Post-COVID-19 Conditions
Comagine Health, BeyondHIE, Indiana University, Boise State University, the Bronx Regional Health Information Organization and UHIN are collaborating on a five-year study to track the burden, distribution and impact of post-COVID conditions (PCC) in diverse populations for children, adolescents and adults.
Funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Track PCC project aims to:
- Track the burden of post-COVID conditions on diverse populations
- Explore PCC-associated risk and mitigating factors
- Investigate the PCC-related impacts of racial and ethnic disparities and the social determinants of health
The study uses passive and active surveillance:
- Passive surveillance to collect, analyze, interpret and disseminate data to describe, characterize and detect trends of PCC among persons with a history of previous SARS-CoV-2 infection
- Active surveillance to monitor how post-COVID-19 conditions change over time within individuals post-infection and track the prevalence of post-COVID-19 conditions over time at the population level
